TREAD applies the Physics of Swimming, to produce high exertion training in the water.

By applying the same fundamental principles of physics used for efficient and effective swim strokes, everyone can train powerfully in the water.

The methodology applies and can be utilized by both experienced swimmers, and even those who do not know how to swim.

Applying the Physics of Swimming can be accomplished by visualizing and practicing three core concepts in the water: Contact, Force, and Technique.

TREAD enables everyone to Train Powerfully in the Water.

Contact

Create maximum surface area contact with the water. Just like the swimmer creates "catch" on the water, effective training requires proper contact with the water. This is a foundation to build functional movements on the water. All movements are built on contact with the water.

Force

For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. When applying Force on the water, the water applies an equal resistance force back on the body. Applying a greater Force on the water, generates greater Power in the water. With greater Power, one achieves greater Work in the water.

Technique

It is of equal importance to know when to minimize contact and force on the water. Just like the swimmer reduces drag to become hydrodynamic, use of technique creates efficiency in the water. Technique-based functional form allows one to be hydrodynamic to efficiently reposition and work again.
